…On health and Exercise: A recent study says that Americans are too lazy to exercise…Not true!  We will run for an elevator...to avoid a flight of steps.

A new study claims that in the near future more people will die from cancer related to cell phone use rather than from smoking. Mr. Jones I'm sorry to inform you that you have roughly 3000 minutes to live. The good news...that's not counting weekends and evenings...oops, I should have sent you a text!

On politics: Congress has a new bill to crack down on welfare cheats…in the future in order to collect food stamps, you'll have to show a drivers license and two major credit cards.

…Reserved parking: Have you noticed all the "reserved parking" spaces we now have? My favorite is "reserved for parents with small children." Please, this is a America. There are no small children! And the one for "employee of the month" is always empty!

…On Healthcare: Congress will regulate nicotine as a drug…So, instead of costing $80, you can now buy a carton of smokes for fifty cents through your HMO

…On life and marriage: I've been married twenty years. The longer were together the more clothes we wear to bed. When we first got married we slept in the nude, a year later it was sweat pants…last night I couldn't find the hood to my parka!

Review – Smorgasbord: Stand Up Comedy by The Sea ‘Smorgasbord Stand Up’ was exactly that, a delectable laughing platter of four very different acts all contributing to produce a great night of entertainment in the delightful Nordic setting of The Northern Lights Bar. The two headliners, sharp and witty Roger Mursick and the nerdy oddball Ismo Leikola produced high quality comedy, ably assisted by pun-master Dan Hoy and the quirky Simon Douglas. Like a Nordic ‘Hairy Biker’, Ismo certainly benefited from a ‘home’ crowd. However, like the very likable US-based Mursick, their humour would work in any club. I certainly hope all four acts will be back in Brighton soon. The Northern Lights Bar, 21 May 4/5
